What to do with Broken broken crayons ? Well, don't through them out

MAKE OLD CRAYONS-NEW AGAIN! 

Up-cycle your broken crayons into MINI-MUFFIN SIZED CRAYONS. You will love the tie-dyed look and your young artists will love the mini-disc size---just right for small hands!  

'Package in clear plastic bags and tie with a ribbon for clever, inexpensive birthday party favors!  

Start the search--collect all your broken crayons from the bottom of the art drawer and from leftover boxes brought home from school...Enjoy this quick and fun activity with your kids. 
Here is how you do it.

Find a cute Silicone Ice tray or Chocolate mold. 


gather all the broken crayons or brake some crayons and filled the tray.

Then Stick the tray in the oven at 400° F . 
You have to make sure the tray you are using is 100% Silicone  and not mix with any other material.  
Take the tray out of the oven after the crayons have melted - it takes about 25 minutes.

put the tray into the freezer for 40 minutes - it takes about 1 hour or more for the crayons to harden if you leave the tray on the counter. 
Next, carefully turn the tray inside-out and popped the crayons out. 
This part could be tricky. But worse comes to worse, you can redo the process.
